The Mission of People for Fairness Coalition is to end housing instability for individuals who live on the streets and in shelters in the Nation’s Capital through Advocacy, Outreach and Peer Mentoring


PFC is a leader in forming strong leadership skills in individuals who have experienced or currently experiencing housing instabilities through our advocacy platform, for the sole purpose of developing a direct housing change.


People for Fairness Coalition builds buy in through independent and collaborated work, reaching out to many communities through different actions.

Peer Mentoring

Founded by individuals who were once on the streets but who now have housing and employment, PFC sees as an important part of its role mentoring members and individuals in the community who lack housing and employment to get involved in their own recovery.

Each Year vigils have become progressively larger and comprehensive.

Public Restrooms

This, unfortunately, is not the case in Washington, DC, our nation’s Capital.

Right to Housing

PFC marches, Housing is a Human RightIn 2013, in accordance with our mission to end people’s housing instability in Washington DC through advocacy, outreach and peer mentoring, PFFC launched its Right to Housing Campaign. The goal was to develop strategies and policies that would increase access to affordable and sustainable housing for DC residents.

Restroom not accessible to homeless PFFC is an active member of a working group headed by the National Coalition for the Homeless (NCH) that has as its objective adding “homelessness” as a protected class under the D.C. Human Rights Act of 1977.
