On May 8th, 2024 People for Fairness Coalition, Streetsense Media, and FACE Group held the 2024 Meet the Candidates Forum. Rachelle Ellison, Assistant Director PFFC moderated a debate between at Large Council Member Robert White and Rodney Red Grant. The panel in attendance consisted of Rachelle Ellison with topics on the Universal Right to Housing Campaign Policy, Nikila Smith with topics on Gaurenteed Income Policy, Reginald Black Serve Your City Housing Liason with topics on Encampment closures, and Professor Dan Kerr with topics on Criminalization of Homelessness Johnson vs Grant pass.
The unhoused population got the opportunity to ask questions about their issues concerning homelessness, Snap, Shelters, and resources.
